This one was a full setup from scratch - new door and opener going into a metal shop building that needed to actually function like a working garage. No door at all to start with, just an open bay. Here's what we were working with before anything went in.

We installed a raised-panel white door with transom windows across the top. That window row does a couple things - it lets natural light into the shop without sacrificing security, and it gives the whole front of the building a clean, finished look. The door fits the space well and doesn't look like an afterthought.

The opener was mounted up in the rafters and wired in to give the owner push-button access. For a working shop like this - one that's clearly used for projects and storage - having an automatic opener isn't just convenient, it's practical. Hauling gear in and out every day, you don't want to be wrestling with a manual door.

Getting the door and operator dialed in on a metal building takes a little more attention than a standard residential install. The framing, the track placement, the header clearance - it all has to line up right or you end up with a door that doesn't seal or run smoothly. We make sure everything is set up correctly the first time.

End result is a solid, functional setup the owner can actually use. Clean on the outside, smooth on the inside, and ready for whatever the shop sees on a daily basis.
